Dubai Chamber Of Commerce Facilitates 294 Bilateral Business Meetings In Georgia To Enhance Trade Relations
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of the Dubai Chambers group, facilitated 294 business meetings between companies from Dubai and Georgia in Tbilisi. This was during the first phase of their trade mission to Georgia and Armenia under the 'New Horizons' initiative. The initiative aims to help Dubai-based companies expand internationally by exploring opportunities in promising markets.
The trade mission included representatives from 15 diverse sectors such as automotive, construction, energy, food and beverages, healthcare, industrial engineering, chemicals, and logistics. A business forum titled "Doing Business with Georgia" was organised in Tbilisi with support from various entities including the UAE Embassy in Georgia and the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the forum, Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, addressed attendees. Keynote remarks were also made by Ahmed Ebrahim Ahmed Taher Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to Georgia; George Janjgava, Ambassador of Georgia to the UAE; Salem Alshamsi from Dubai Chambers; and Giorgi Pertaia from the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event drew 204 participants comprising senior officials and business leaders interested in partnerships with Dubai's delegation. Alshamsi stated, "This trade mission reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening international business relationships and unlocking new horizons for Dubai-based companies. We are confident the connections made will pave the way for new partnerships and contribute to continued growth in bilateral trade with Georgia."
Dubai Chambers presented an overview of Dubai’s economic landscape at the forum. They highlighted competitive advantages for companies looking to expand globally. Invest in Georgia showcased the country's appeal to investors through liberal policies, strategic trade access, and reforms conducive to growth.
The value of non-oil trade between Dubai and Georgia reached AED2.8 billion in 2024, marking a 58.5% annual increase. By June 2025, 114 Georgian companies were active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
Potential Sectors for Investment
Diverse investment opportunities exist for Dubai-based firms in Georgia across sectors like transport, tourism, food production, ceramics, plastics manufacturing, and real estate. Additionally, high-potential export products identified include mobile phones, perfumes, vehicles, computers, textiles, and aluminium.
This mission underscores efforts to enhance bilateral trade relations between Dubai and Georgia while fostering new business collaborations that could drive future economic growth.
