Dubai Chamber Of Commerce Launches Sustainability 365 Initiative To Promote Responsible Business Practices
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has introduced the 'Sustainability 365' initiative, aiming to promote sustainable business practices in the private sector. This programme, running from 6th to 30th October, seeks to integrate sustainability into corporate culture throughout the year. It builds upon the chamber's previous Sustainability Week, first launched in 2015.
Under the theme "Purpose in Action: Empowering Communities Through Responsible Business," the initiative underscores the chamber's dedication to making sustainability a continuous priority.

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, stated, "The launch of the Sustainability 365 initiative marks a pivotal moment in this journey. It is not simply a change of name or an extension of the programme’s duration; it reflects our firm conviction that social responsibility is an integral part of business culture and a driver of positive change in the community."
The programme kicks off with The Purpose Forum, where CEOs and senior leaders will discuss how purposeful business can drive social impact. Following this, there will be a Business with Purpose Roundtable featuring an interactive simulation on challenges and opportunities for purpose-driven companies.
Since its inception, Sustainability Week has engaged over 720 companies in its activities. The rebranded initiative aims to continue this engagement by offering various platforms for dialogue and action. The chamber is committed to embedding sustainability as a core element of corporate practice all year round.
The Purpose Academy will run throughout October, providing expert-led online sessions on sustainability and purpose-driven approaches. These sessions aim to educate businesses on integrating responsible practices into their operations effectively.
This initiative highlights Dubai Chamber's ongoing efforts to foster a culture of sustainability within the business community. By encouraging responsible practices, they aim to empower communities and drive positive change across industries.
