Dubai Chamber Of Commerce Achieves 16.8% Increase In Exports And Re-exports During Q1 2025

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of the Dubai Chambers group, has shared its achievements for the first quarter of 2025. These accomplishments highlight the chamber's dedication to improving Dubai's business environment and aiding companies in their global growth. The chamber reported a 16.8% year-over-year increase in exports and re-exports by its members, reaching AED86 billion.

During this period, the chamber issued 204,240 Certificates of Origin, marking a 7% rise from Q1 2024. Additionally, it processed 1,656 ATA Carnets valued at approximately AED984 million. These figures underscore the chamber's role in facilitating international trade and commerce.

Dubai Chamber Reports Growth in Exports

A significant milestone was achieved with the addition of 18,160 new companies to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in just three months. This growth underscores Dubai's status as a thriving global business hub with a comprehensive ecosystem supporting diverse industries.

The chamber also played a crucial role in helping 28 local companies expand into new international markets during Q1 2025. This represents a substantial increase of 75% compared to the same period last year when only 16 companies received such support.

Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, stated that under Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's guidance, efforts continue to boost sustainable growth in both local and global markets. He emphasised that the chamber's initiatives are enhancing trade and investment flows between Dubai and other regions.

Al Mansoori added that they remain dedicated to supporting economic development by boosting Dubai's business competitiveness and fostering public-private partnerships. These efforts aim to strengthen Dubai’s economic model and empower businesses to seize future opportunities.

Legal Advocacy and Networking

The Business Advocacy sector reviewed ten laws and draft laws with Business Groups during Q1 2025. Notably, 55% of private sector recommendations were adopted. The chamber held 55 meetings with Business Groups and Councils, including annual general meetings—a remarkable increase of 166% from Q1 2024.

Furthermore, four joint meetings between Business Groups, Councils, and government entities were coordinated by the chamber. During this period, two new councils—the Indonesian Business Council and Hungarian Business Council—were established.

Mediation Cases and Legal Awareness

The chamber handled 45 mediation cases worth AED7.3 million in total value during Q1 2025. This reflects a significant rise of 50% in case volume and a staggering increase of 232% in total value compared to Q1 2024.

To keep businesses informed about legal updates across various sectors, the chamber organised ten legal awareness events attended by 587 representatives from different industries. These events aimed at promoting compliance with laws and best practices among private sector companies.

The chamber also saw an increase in participation at its business networking events by 17%, attracting a total of 1,617 attendees year-over-year. This growth highlights the importance placed on fostering connections within the business community.
