Dubai Chamber Of Commerce Explores Strategies To Enhance Private Sector Growth And Business Environment
Dubai Chamber of Commerce recently hosted its third quarterly meeting for Business Groups and Councils in 2025. This gathering allowed the chamber to assess initiatives aimed at improving the local business climate and supporting diverse sector growth. Discussions included legislative priorities and strategies to enhance partnerships with government entities.
The meeting focused on advancing the performance of Business Groups and Councils, aiming to expand their influence on economic policies. Significant achievements from the first half of 2025 were highlighted, showcasing progress towards a competitive business environment. The chamber reviewed 27 laws with Business Groups, achieving a 60% adoption rate for private sector recommendations.

During the first half of 2025, Dubai Chamber of Commerce held 98 meetings with Business Groups and Councils, marking a 104% increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, five new Business Councils were established to represent investors from Brazil, Slovakia, Peru, Indonesia, and Hungary.
Maha Al Gergawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, stated that these groups play a crucial role in enhancing competitiveness and Dubai’s business environment. She emphasized their commitment to strengthening private sector partnerships and enabling contributions to policymaking for economic growth.
Business Groups serve as a collective voice for key sectors, while Business Councils represent companies from specific countries. Together, they ensure inclusive representation across industries, acting as a bridge between businesses and government stakeholders.
Through their activities, these groups contribute significantly to strengthening Dubai’s business environment. They advance public-private partnerships and support sustainable success for companies operating within the emirate.
