Dubai Chamber Of Commerce Launches Bulgarian Business Council To Boost Economic Ties
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has introduced the Bulgarian Business Council to boost economic ties between Dubai and Bulgaria. This initiative aims to enhance partnerships and foster investment across various sectors. The council's first meeting took place at the Dubai Chambers’ headquarters, where participants explored new business opportunities and discussed strengthening mutual investments.
The meeting also emphasised enhancing connections between Bulgarian firms and their Dubai counterparts. Participants focused on sharing expertise, exchanging data, and planning bilateral business events. This initiative aligns with Dubai's strategy to solidify its role as a global hub for Bulgarian businesses and investors.

Dubai's non-oil trade with Bulgaria reached AED777 million in 2024, marking a 5 percent annual growth. This reflects the robust commercial ties between the two regions. In the first nine months of this year alone, 54 new Bulgarian companies joined the chamber, increasing active Bulgarian members to 243 by September's end.
Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, stated: "The establishment of the Bulgarian Business Council represents an important step forward in the economic ties between Dubai and Bulgaria. The council will help build stronger partnerships between our business communities, unlock new opportunities for joint investment, and support the continued growth of bilateral trade."
Business Councils under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce umbrella advocate for companies from specific markets operating in Dubai. They collaborate closely with the chamber to enhance trade and investments between Dubai and these markets. Their goal is to develop strong long-term economic partnerships.
The launch of this council is part of a broader effort to expand investment collaboration across diverse sectors. It highlights Dubai's commitment to fostering international business relations and supporting economic growth through strategic partnerships.
This initiative not only strengthens existing ties but also opens doors for future collaborations. By facilitating dialogue and cooperation, it aims to create a conducive environment for businesses from both regions to thrive.
