Dubai Chamber Of Commerce Awards ESG Label To 56 Companies Committed To Sustainability
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of the Dubai Chambers group, has honoured 56 companies with its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Label. This recognition highlights their dedication to responsible business practices and corporate sustainability. The ESG Label is designed to motivate businesses to implement practices that positively impact society and the environment while promoting good governance.
The ESG Label initiative by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce aims to inspire companies to adopt sustainable and competitive business models. Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, stated, "The Dubai Chamber of Commerce ESG Label reflects our firm commitment to supporting institutions in adopting more sustainable, inclusive, and competitive business models." This framework encourages transparency and good governance principles within operations.

The ESG Label was created by the chamber’s Centre for Responsible Business. It helps companies evaluate their readiness and maturity in implementing ESG standards. The label also acknowledges efforts towards sustainable growth. Companies established for at least two years can apply for this label, which offers numerous benefits such as aligning with best practices and enhancing brand reputation.
Recipients of the ESG Label gain advantages like improved brand positioning and added value that attracts investors. The label allows organisations to compare their ESG performance with regional and global peers. Participating companies receive a report detailing areas for improvement along with a maturity score based on their adoption of ESG standards.
The label supports businesses in strengthening their commitment to ESG standards. By benchmarking against others, companies can identify areas needing enhancement. This process not only aligns them with best practices but also boosts their reputation in the market. The initiative ultimately contributes to making Dubai's business community more competitive on both regional and global scales.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce continues to promote responsible corporate practices through initiatives like the ESG Label. By recognising companies' efforts in sustainability, it fosters an environment where businesses are encouraged to adopt ethical practices that benefit society and the environment.
