Dubai To Host Accessible Travel And Tourism International Conference Focused On Inclusion In October 2025
Dubai is set to host the 5th Accessible Travel and Tourism International Conference (ATTIC-2025) on 7th and 8th October at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, aims to enhance travel experiences for People of Determination by improving legislation, policies, and services across various transport modes and hospitality sectors.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum expressed pride in Dubai's recognition as an Autism-Friendly City. He highlighted that Emirates Airlines and Dubai Airports are now inclusive facilities. "These milestones are the result of continuous collaboration and unwavering commitment to the empowerment of People of Determination," he stated.

The conference will feature high-level officials and experts from international organisations like UN Tourism, Airports Council International (ACI World), and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). They will discuss advancements in accessible travel, focusing on air, land, and sea mobility as well as accommodation improvements.
A session titled "Lessons from Dubai" will showcase achievements in accessible tourism. Representatives from Emirates Airlines, Dubai Airports, the Roads and Transport Authority, and the Department of Economy and Tourism will share insights into how Dubai has become a global leader in this field.
Globally, People of Determination make up 10 to 15 percent of societies, equating to about 1.3 billion individuals. This number is expected to rise to two billion by 2050. The European Network for Accessible Tourism reports that at least 257 million tourists seek accessible destinations, presenting vast opportunities for the tourism industry to expand its economic impact.
The conference aims to address these needs by fostering discussions on improving infrastructure and services. By doing so, it seeks to ensure that People of Determination can explore the world with dignity and ease.
The event underscores Dubai's commitment to becoming a leader in accessible tourism. By hosting ATTIC-2025, Dubai continues its efforts to enhance its status as a city that prioritises inclusivity in travel and tourism.
