The fourth edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit has closed in Dubai after three days, with organisers reporting record participation, broad digital engagement and a strong focus on how the creator economy can deliver public benefit under the theme "Content for Good."
Hosted across Emirates Towers, Dubai International Financial Centre and the Museum of the Future, the summit took place from 9 to 11 January and was organised by the UAE Government Media Office, drawing content creators, platform leaders and experts from around the world.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of UAE Cabinet Affairs, said, "The summit achieved exceptional leaps in its fourth edition, positioning the UAE as a global leader in the content economy with a special focus on meaningful content that drives positive societal change." The event prioritised urgent debates around the fast-growing creator economy.
Al Gergawi added, "The summit’s success is reflected in drawing more than 30,000 attendees with over 15,000 content creators and influencers, underscoring the event’s growing international influence." The summit’s sessions and activities targeted both established influencers and emerging digital talent from many regions.
The summit’s agenda included more than 580 keynote sessions, panel discussions, roundtables and workshops, led by over 500 international speakers and specialists. Collectively, these speakers reached an audience of more than 3.5 billion followers, underscoring the scale of the 1 Billion Followers Summit within the content creation economy.
Al Gergawi noted that the 1 Billion Followers Summit gave particular attention to artificial intelligence, highlighting tools that can expand outreach and improve production quality for creators. Specialised sessions and workshops examined new AI applications and how these tools are shaping workflows across the wider content industry worldwide.
As part of this focus, the AI Film Award was launched in partnership with Google Gemini, offering a grand prize of $1 million. Filmmaker Zoubeir Jlassi won the top award for the film "Lily" during a dedicated ceremony, following a competition that drew more than 30,000 participants from 116 countries.
Al Gergawi said, "Strategic partnerships were announced with five major global platforms to support good content, reinforcing the summit’s core mission." Agreements were confirmed with YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, X and Meta, aiming to promote responsible digital material and expand cooperation on creator support initiatives.
The summit also unveiled the Educator Award in collaboration with TikTok, which attracted 610,000 participants. The award produced 320,000 videos and these videos generated 1.8 billion views, highlighting demand for educational and knowledge-based content within the broader ecosystem of the 1 Billion Followers Summit and global audiences.

It generated more than 170,000 acts of kindness and exceeded 100 million views within three weeks, according to organisers.
Twenty global content creators were selected to implement humanitarian projects in Ghana, supported by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and Varkey Foundation. These projects aligned with the summit’s emphasis on real-world impact and showed how creator communities can support development efforts alongside online engagement and storytelling.
