Dr. Al Rabeeah Celebrates IsDB Group’s 50 Years Of Global Impact

Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, recently shared his enthusiasm for participating in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB Group). The event, marking a significant milestone of 50 years, was held in Riyadh, alongside the group's annual meetings set for the year 2024. Dr. Al Rabeeah extended his congratulations to the bank's employees and praised the event's logo, which encapsulates the essence of the celebration: "Taking pride in our past, shaping our future: authenticity, solidarity, and prosperity."

During this prestigious occasion, Dr. Al Rabeeah highlighted KSrelief's active involvement and its contributions towards sustainable development and global initiatives that have a profound impact across various regions, especially within the member states of the IsDB Group. The celebrations were graced by notable figures including the Group's Chairman, Dr. Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Jasser, and Co-Chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates.

Dr. Al Rabeeah further detailed KSrelief's launch of 12 voluntary medical projects aimed at combating avoidable blindness in Niger, Chad, and Mozambique. These projects are set to be implemented in 2024 and are designed to provide medical examinations and consultations to around 45,000 beneficiaries. Additionally, they aim to perform surgeries for 6,000 cataract patients with limited income. This initiative is a testament to the ongoing partnership between KSrelief and the IsDB Group in their joint efforts to support those in need around the globe.
