DP World And Cars24 To Establish AED 55 Million Automotive Hub At National Industries Park In Dubai
National Industries Park (NIP) in Dubai, managed by DP World, is set to host a significant automotive refurbishment centre through a AED55 million ($15 million) collaboration with Cars24. This 220,000 sq. ft. facility will generate over 200 jobs initially and manage more than 100,000 vehicles annually. It will be strategically linked to DP World's ports, logistics corridors, and economic zones.
Construction of this facility is scheduled to commence in November 2025, with operations expected to begin by August 2026. The centre aims to cater to the increasing demand from electric vehicle manufacturers and Chinese OEMs. Its multi-brand handling capability makes it a unique hub within the GCC region.

The facility will operate using solar power, focusing on extending vehicle lifespans through refurbishment. This approach particularly benefits electric vehicles by reducing the environmental impact associated with manufacturing new cars. Each vehicle will undergo over 140 internal checkpoints and receive approval from Dubai RTA and MoIAT's 5-Star certification for safety and quality assurance.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC, stated that "Cars24’s new facility will anchor Dubai’s position as the region’s automotive hub." He highlighted that the Middle East and Africa's used car market generated over $100 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow at an annual rate of 4.9% from 2025 to 2030.
Founded in 2015, Cars24 is a unicorn startup valued at over $3 billion, offering a digital platform for buying and selling used vehicles. The new NIP facility marks a significant expansion of its regional footprint, providing customers access to one of the largest multi-brand refurbishment hubs available.
Abhinav Gupta, CEO of Cars24 Arabia, remarked that "Our new centre will set a benchmark for speed, reliability and sustainability in the automotive sector." He noted that its location in NIP provides world-class infrastructure and easy access to trade routes, enabling automotive companies to expand rapidly into GCC and international markets.
Enhancing Dubai's Automotive Hub Strategy
This project contributes to DP World's growing automotive cluster across NIP and Jafza, which hosts major manufacturers, distributors, and EV innovators. It aligns with Dubai's broader automotive hub strategy that includes the world's largest car market announced in 2024 by DP World and Dubai Municipality.
Together with these initiatives, Dubai continues to strengthen its position as the primary gateway for automotive trade in the region. By connecting global manufacturers with regional distributors, DP World is fostering growth opportunities while enhancing supply chains within the industry.
