DoH Enhances Customer Experience With New Health Insurance Features On TAMM Platform

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has introduced new health insurance features on the TAMM platform. This initiative aims to simplify healthcare access for residents, offering a smooth digital experience. A key feature is the "Insurance Details" widget, which provides a comprehensive view of active and expired policies, upcoming renewals, and payments due.

Users can access the Health Insurance Wallet through this widget. This digital space allows them to check family members' insurance status, renew coverage, make payments, and add new members. These features create a user-friendly journey for managing health insurance efficiently.

DoH Improves Health Insurance Services on TAMM

Developed with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), TAMM, and strategic partners like Daman, these enhancements integrate real-time data. This integration ensures community members have reliable visibility of their health insurance coverage and renewal status.

Bayna Saif Al Awani, Director General of Healthcare Payers and Finance Affairs at DoH – Abu Dhabi, stated: "Our goal is to make every step of the customer journey seamless, accessible and centred around the needs of the community. Through introducing these enhancements on the TAMM platform, we are offering our residents a comprehensive view of their health insurance information, empowering them to stay informed."

All services related to the Basic Health Insurance Plan for Individuals have been transferred to TAMM by Daman in collaboration with DoH. The Health Insurance Wallet also allows members to view their Certificate of Compliance (COC) and manage coverage for dependants. This ensures uninterrupted healthcare access.

With individual health insurance services now available on TAMM—including subscriptions, renewals, and modifications—this initiative supports Abu Dhabi’s vision for integrated digital government services focused on people. These enhancements demonstrate DoH's commitment to providing seamless customer experiences across all touchpoints.

The introduction of these features reflects DoH's dedication to offering comprehensive healthcare services in Abu Dhabi. It ensures continuous insurance coverage so residents can access healthcare whenever needed according to international standards and best practices.
