DoH's Digital Transformation Sets New Standards For Healthcare Service Excellence In Abu Dhabi

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) is leading the charge in digital transformation within the healthcare sector. By digitalising services like Sanadkom and the Sick Leave Attestation Service on TAMM, DoH is enhancing healthcare accessibility and efficiency. This initiative positions Abu Dhabi as a leader in digital government excellence, improving the healthcare experience for both citizens and residents.

Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of DoH, stated: "Initiatives such as Sanadkom and the Sick Leave Attestation Service highlight our commitment to innovation and digital transformation in healthcare. By streamlining processes and enhancing accessibility, we are redefining the healthcare experience, empowering individuals and communities alike. DoH Enhances Healthcare Through Digital Transformation

Sanadkom has simplified administrative tasks for bereaved families, serving over 2.9 million people in Abu Dhabi. The initiative integrates with seven government entities to reduce death-related administrative processes from months to days. This not only alleviates emotional stress but also enhances operational efficiency and accuracy during difficult times.

The Sick Leave Attestation Service on TAMM has transformed how medical leave certificates are obtained. It eliminates physical visits, reducing processing time by 83%, from six minutes to just one or two minutes. Integration with the Human Resources Authority and Ministry of Human Resources ensures fewer errors, improving accuracy by 39%.

Innovative features like smart alerts, SMS notifications, and an improved interface have enhanced user confidence in the Sick Leave Attestation Service. Customer satisfaction has soared to 94%, with significant improvements in Customer Effort Scores and Net Promoter Scores, reflecting a positive impact on customer journeys.

Khalaf Helal Al Mazrouei, Director General of Corporate Enablement at DoH, remarked: "Now more than ever, the digitalisation of services is essential for enhancing accessibility and efficiency. The healthcare sector is at the forefront of this transformation in Abu Dhabi, providing citizens and residents with vital services just a click away, ensuring we meet their needs in a rapidly evolving environment."

DoH's efforts were recognised at the inaugural Abu Dhabi Effortless Customer Experience Awards by receiving two prestigious awards: Best Life Moment Award for Sanadkom Initiative and Special Recognition for Sick Leave Attestation Service. These accolades highlight DoH's dedication to driving digital innovation and improving community quality of life.
