Abu Dhabi: DoH Partners With Microsoft To Enhance Patient Care Using AI At GITEX 2024
The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has partnered with Microsoft to advance healthcare innovation through Artificial Intelligence and data analytics. This collaboration, formalised during GITEX Global Week 2024, aims to transform patient care and improve population health. The initiative strengthens Abu Dhabi's leadership in digital health, promoting a health-conscious community.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Ibrahim Al Jallaf from DoH and Naim Yazbeck from Microsoft UAE, with Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi present. The agreement focuses on using AI models, Microsoft's AI Copilot, and conversational AI advisors to enhance patient care. It aims to streamline disease research and clinical trial predictions while improving decision-making in ecosystem monitoring.

Security and data privacy are central to this collaboration, ensuring accurate insights for informed decisions by healthcare stakeholders. By integrating advanced AI and data analytics, the partnership seeks to empower stakeholders with timely information for better decision-making.
Ibrahim Al Jallaf expressed that the partnership reflects Abu Dhabi's dedication to global healthcare innovation. The focus is on early diagnosis, personalised care, and intelligent research, providing tools that revolutionise healthcare approaches.
Naim Yazbeck highlighted the transformative potential of AI in healthcare: "As we embark on this transformative journey with the Department of Health, we recognise that integrating AI into healthcare is not just a technological advancement; it's a commitment to revolutionise diagnostics and treatment." The MoU will utilise AI and advanced data analytics to extract insights from extensive health data. This approach aims to redefine care practices, enhance population health, and elevate the healthcare ecosystem in Abu Dhabi. The solutions focus on three objectives: revolutionising patient care with AI, delivering intelligent clinical trials and research, and enhancing regulatory decision-making.
