DMA Hosts Workshop With Marina Representatives To Enhance Premium Maritime Services In Dubai

The Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA), part of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, recently hosted a workshop with marina representatives from across Dubai. The session focused on improving service delivery at local marinas and developing a unified operational framework to boost the sustainable growth of Dubai's marine tourism sector.

Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, CEO of DMA, highlighted the significance of collaboration with marina operators. He stated, "We believe in the value of forging strong partnerships with the private sector to develop innovative, sustainable solutions. We are proud of the role each marina plays in helping us realise this shared vision."

DMA Workshop Enhances Maritime Services in Dubai

During the workshop, DMA Directors introduced digital solutions aimed at creating secure communication between marinas and their clients. These initiatives are intended to modernise service delivery, enhance operational efficiency, and improve the overall experience for maritime users.

The discussions also covered essential procedures and documentation for services like passenger pick-up and drop-off. Attendees reviewed permissible service durations at each marina and expected response times to ensure efficient operations.

Efforts were made to streamline processes for "Passenger Pick-up/Drop-off" and "Dock & Dine" services. Discussions outlined necessary documents, procedures, and expected timelines to facilitate smooth operations at marinas.

The workshop emphasised creating smart communication channels via digital applications. This approach aims to provide seamless access to marina services for sea-goers, enhancing their overall experience.

Commitment to Sustainable Growth

This initiative demonstrates DMA's dedication to empowering businesses while simplifying regulatory procedures. By aligning with investors' aspirations, the Authority aims to position Dubai as a premier hub for luxury maritime tourism.

The session concluded with an open Q&A segment that generated various recommendations. These suggestions aim to further improve Dubai’s maritime services' quality and readiness for global visitors.
