Dubai Land Department Excels In Future Innovators Hackathon 2024, Wins Three Awards

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has achieved top honors in the 'Future Innovators Hackathon' initiative, demonstrating outstanding innovation and team collaboration. Winning in categories such as 'Best Applicable Idea or Project,’ 'Best Team,’ and 'Originality of Idea and Innovation,’ the DLD showcased its commitment to leading the way in real estate innovation. The accolades were earned through their participation in two challenges aimed at understanding the preferences of the new generation in real estate and enhancing customer transaction experiences. This recognition underlines Dubai’s dedication to fostering innovation and striving for excellence in all sectors, with a special focus on real estate and property management.

Organized by the Emirates Schools Establishment at the Zayed Educational Complex on 27 and 28 February, as part of Dubai Innovation Week, the initiative sought to enrich students' lives, prepare them for future challenges, and instill forward-thinking principles. By promoting positive practices and pioneering projects, the event aimed to contribute to the development of government and community services, aligning with Dubai's vision for the next 50 years.

DLD Wins Big at Innovators Hackathon 2024

Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Development Sector at DLD, expressed her pride in the department's accomplishment. She emphasized DLD's dedication to cultivating a culture of innovation within the real estate sector, particularly among students, in accordance with the directives of Dubai’s leadership. Rashid stated, "In this regard, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to providing a conducive environment for real estate innovation and collaborating with partners to exchange ideas and proposals that can create a significant impact in our efforts to envision the future, nurture national talents, and involve them in the holistic development process."

Innovative Minds at Work

The 'Future Innovators Hackathon' kicked off with brainstorming sessions that saw the participation of around 60 students, 40 coordinators from institutional entities, and various specialists and engineers. On the following day, the students presented their projects to a challenge committee, which then selected the winners across different categories.

A total of 10 innovative projects were showcased during the event, highlighting the participants' commitment to instilling a culture of innovation within educational settings. These projects also aimed at enhancing student performance through the adoption of smart educational solutions.

The Dubai Land Department's involvement in the 'Future Innovators Hackathon’ was a part of its activities during Dubai Innovation Week. Following this achievement, the DLD plans to display the winning ideas at its headquarters in the upcoming week, further promoting the culture of innovation and excellence within the real estate sector.
