Diriyah Square Welcomes Eight New Brands In Major Expansion
Diriyah Company has added eight new brands to Diriyah Square, expanding the retail and services mix planned for more than 400 shops and restaurants. The move signals steady progress on one of Diriyah’s key urban destinations and supports plans to combine heritage settings with modern daily life for residents and visitors.
The company reports rising interest from well-known local and international brands that want space at Diriyah Square, which is planned as an integrated urban quarter. The district is designed as a walkable area inspired by traditional Najdi architecture, aiming to reflect local history while serving current lifestyle needs.

Earlier this year, Diriyah Company awarded a SAR2.249 billion development contract for Diriyah Square. The project includes 73 buildings and around 400 commercial and service units. Plans call for modern facilities that operate within a setting influenced by Diriyah’s historical character, with a focus on liveability and visitor comfort.
Diriyah is projected to add about SAR70 billion to the Kingdom’s gross domestic product and create nearly 180,000 jobs. The wider development is planned to host around 100,000 residents and attract close to 50 million visits every year, reinforcing its role in Saudi Arabia’s long-term urban plans.

Diriyah Company Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo stated that the arrival of these eight brands represents a qualitative addition to Diriyah Square and strengthens its position as a vibrant destination that accommodates diverse daily activities. Inzerillo also highlighted that the project seeks a careful balance between conservation of heritage and the delivery of modern amenities.
The wider Diriyah development plan includes office space for thousands of professionals across technology, media, innovation, arts, and education, alongside world-class museums, a university, the Royal Diriyah Opera House, Diriyah Square, nearly 40 luxury hotels, and varied restaurants and leisure venues, including a Greg Norman–designed golf course and the Equestrian & Polo Club at Wadi Safar.
