Diriyah Season 25/26 Extends Leading Programs Amid Strong Attendance And Engagement
Diriyah Season 25/26 is extending several major programmes after strong visitor interest since launch. Organisers report sustained high participation from people across Saudi Arabia and from international visitors. The decision aims to keep cultural and historical activities available to more guests during the current season.
The extension covers three headline programmes: Hal Al Qusoor, Al-Huwayett, and Samhan. These will now run until the fourth week of March, rather than ending earlier. Layali Al-Diriyah will continue as a standing feature of Diriyah Season, remaining available as an ongoing programme for visitors.

Diriyah Season is described as one of the Kingdom’s key national seasons, centred on the area’s heritage. The season highlights the historical importance of Diriyah while offering varied activities. These programmes present the region’s identity and history within a single experience, combining traditional elements with forward-looking cultural and tourism offerings.
The achievements of Diriyah Season are stated to align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Organisers link the current success to national goals that seek better quality of life. The season also supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to strengthen its status as a global destination for culture and tourism.
Diriyah Season director Ahlam Al-Thunayan explains that attendance indicators have stayed high over recent weeks. According to Al-Thunayan, this confirms Diriyah’s role as a cultural and historical attraction drawing diverse audiences. Strong public response encouraged an extension so more visitors can benefit from the experiences on offer.
Al-Thunayan expresses appreciation to the Kingdom’s leadership for continuous backing of the culture and tourism sectors. The director notes that close attention to Diriyah Season has strengthened its position locally and internationally. Al-Thunayan adds that cooperation between relevant entities, supported by Secretary-General of Diriyah Gate Development Authority Ahmed Al-Khateeb, has enabled these results.
