Diriyah Horizon Youth Program Launches Third Edition To Empower Creative Skills In Saudi Youth
The Diriyah Horizon youth summer program, now in its third edition, began on Sunday. Organised by the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), it collaborates with various entities to enhance youth skills and promote cultural values. The initiative partners with the King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication, Saudi Space Agency, iLMI Science Discovery and Innovation Center, and Mahd Sports Academy to provide a comprehensive learning experience.
Running until the end of summer, the program offers diverse activities across six tracks inspired by Diriyah's heritage. These tracks include 14 workshops covering various disciplines. The Leadership track focuses on debate skills, volunteerism, and public speaking. Meanwhile, the Heritage track introduces archaeological excavation and traditional mudbrick construction techniques.

The Creative Production track covers photography and filmmaking, while the Science track explores water systems, soil science, sustainable energy, and aircraft design. In the Space track, participants engage in interactive workshops showcasing astronomy and space technology from past to present. Additionally, it highlights agricultural seasons in Diriyah.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy fencing and archery in the Sports track. The program runs from Sunday to Thursday between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., aiming to cultivate a conscious generation that embodies Saudi youth's spirit while preserving Diriyah's authentic legacy.
This initiative reflects DGDA’s dedication to education and social responsibility by providing an engaging environment filled with diverse activities that foster participants’ skills. It aims to make a lasting impact on youth by shaping their thinking in ways that support professional development.
