The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) and Amazon have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in cultural and technological domains. This partnership is set to enhance the visitor experience at Diriyah's historical sites and expand cultural content through Amazon Alexa. The MoU was signed by DGDA's Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo and Amazon Saudi Arabia's Country Manager Abdo Chlala.
Jerry Inzerillo expressed enthusiasm about the MoU, stating: "We are pleased to have signed this MoU with Amazon, opening a wide range of technological opportunities for us to explore. This day represents the beginning of an ongoing collaboration that will help make Diriyah a global destination for culture and heritage as we connect the past to the future by investing in modern technologies, highlighting the rich heritage of Diriyah and the authentic culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

Amazon's Eric King, Managing Director of Alexa International for EMEA & APAC, shared his excitement about working with DGDA: "We are excited to team up with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority to celebrate the cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia. This collaboration will showcase the Kingdom’s rich traditions and history through our innovative technology that continues to delight our customers and enhance their experiences."
Supporting Vision 2030
The agreement aligns with DGDA’s mission to support Vision 2030 by boosting tourism, culture, and history sectors. Through Amazon’s technology platforms, comprehensive information about Diriyah's heritage will reach a broader audience. This initiative also aims to develop local content for Diriyah by promoting regional products on Amazon.sa.
Interactive applications will be developed as part of this initiative to enrich visitors' understanding of Diriyah's historical significance. These applications are expected to provide an engaging experience for those exploring the area. Additionally, this partnership will enable local sellers to offer their products on Amazon.sa, thereby supporting community development.
The collaboration between DGDA and Amazon marks a significant step towards making Diriyah a prominent cultural destination globally while preserving its historical essence.
