Diriyah Company Awards SAR 5.75 Billion Contract For New Diriyah Arena Project
Diriyah Company has signed a SAR5.75 billion contract with China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. for the Arena Block's construction. This district will feature the versatile Diriyah Arena, three mixed-use office buildings, and a parking facility. The arena is designed to host various events, including concerts and sports, with a seating capacity of 20,000.
The Diriyah Arena, covering about 74,000 square meters, is designed by HKS Inc., drawing inspiration from Diriyah's natural geology and traditional Najdi architecture. This blend of heritage and modernity aims to enhance the area's quality of life by providing a venue for diverse events that foster community spirit.

Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of Diriyah Company Group, emphasized the arena's role in reinforcing Diriyah's global cultural influence in line with Vision 2030. He stated, "The Diriyah Arena will be a landmark entertainment complex in Diriyah that reinforces the City of Earth’s growing global role in shaping Saudi Arabia’s artistic and cultural future."
The Arena Block development also includes three mixed-use office plots designed by John McAslan + Partners. These plots cover approximately 114,000 square meters and are equipped with advanced technology and infrastructure to support modern business needs.
Yang Zhiyuan from China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. expressed pride in contributing to this project. He remarked on CHEC's commitment to excellence and timely delivery, stating they will leverage their global expertise to ensure success. "This award marks a significant milestone for CHEC in the Kingdom," he said.
The contract also covers over 4,000 parking spaces to accommodate visitors attending events at both the arena and office facilities. This infrastructure aims to support the growing number of visitors expected at these venues.
Expanding Cultural Assets
The Diriyah Arena will join other cultural landmarks like the Royal Diriyah Opera House and nine museums featuring Najdi architectural elements inspired by At-Turaif UNESCO World Heritage Site. These additions highlight Diriyah's commitment to becoming a world-class cultural destination.
This contract is part of several significant announcements made by Diriyah Company in 2025 as it continues its development program for Diriyah. The company remains focused on achieving milestones that align with its vision for growth and cultural enrichment.
The project underscores Diriyah's ambition to attract both local residents and international visitors through world-class sports and entertainment offerings. By doing so, it aims to solidify its status as a leading gathering place globally.
