Diriyah Commemorates 95th Saudi National Day With Diverse Cultural Celebrations

Diriyah has launched a series of events to celebrate Saudi Arabia's 95th National Day, themed "United We Stand." These festivities blend historical authenticity with modern innovation, showcasing national pride in the Kingdom's birthplace. The celebrations highlight Diriyah's global significance as a heritage symbol and honour the unity led by King Abdulaziz. Events will continue across Diriyah tomorrow.

The historic At-Turaif district will host performances of the grand Saudi Ardah by over 150 performers in front of Salwa Palace. This event includes reciting patriotic poems that express unity and solidarity. Visitors can also enjoy various cultural activities such as Najdi calligraphy workshops and live poetry sessions under the "Hal Al-Hay" program.

A bikers' parade, organised with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, is one of the highlights. It will be followed by a military march featuring over 500 participants from different armed forces branches. This includes cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Saudi Royal Guard Command, along with camel riders, horsemen, and classic vehicles.

In Adhwaihrah, a photography exhibition will offer rare glimpses into King Abdulaziz's life. There will also be workshops and interactive activities for all ages, complemented by traditional food stations. Meanwhile, Bujairi Terrace will host the "Unity" exhibition in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah).

The "Unity" exhibition at Bujairi Terrace narrates stories from the unification journey alongside the "Wall of Unity," symbolising national cohesion. The program also features Samri performances and interactive workshops. Additionally, Zallal area offers artisanal experiences like handicrafts, henna, and Arabic calligraphy.

This celebration marks the anniversary of the Kingdom's unification by its founder, King Abdulaziz. It reflects Diriyah's role as a custodian of Saudi identity and memory of unity. The occasion renews pride in deep-rooted foundations while drawing inspiration from values guiding toward future ambitions aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
