Al-Huwayett Opens In Adhuwaihrah To Engage Families In Diriyah’s Cultural Experiences

The Al-Huwayett Program has opened in the historic Adhuwaihrah District as part of Diriyah Season 25/26, offering visitors a daily experience from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The initiative links younger generations with Diriyah’s values through cultural, educational, and entertainment activities in a setting designed for families.

Adhuwaihrah District, one of Diriyah’s most notable heritage quarters, has long influenced the city’s urban development. Known for learning and community life, its streets, homes, and religious sites highlight the continuity of Najdi identity. The program builds on this background, using the neighbourhood’s history as the foundation for its activities.

The district functions as a model where education and social interaction meet, with the historic Adhuwaihrah Mosque at its heart. This landmark, together with surrounding structures, reflects a deep-rooted role in preserving authentic Najdi heritage. The Al-Huwayett Program translates that legacy into interactive content aimed at developing children’s abilities.

Central to the Al-Huwayett experience during Diriyah Season 25/26 is a journey through five themed zones that mirror stages of life in Diriyah. The route starts in "Family Alley", an open area designed for play, rest, and shared time. It ends with "Al-Hisn" (Strength and Unity), a maze that encourages teamwork and problem-solving.

Between these two points, visitors move through "Al-Mawten" (Homeland), where children explore decision-making and learn about constructing homes in Najdi style. "Al-Faydah" (Growth Oasis) offers planting experiences, caring for palm trees, and learning about local animals. "Al-Nahdah" (Community and Trade) recreates daily commerce through imaginative, hands-on activities.
