During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed received a detailed explanation of the digital services now provided by the Judicial Department to court users, including secure access through registered accounts, simplified submission of applications, broad availability of case information, and multiple electronic payment channels, all designed to streamline procedures and shorten the time needed to process and resolve cases.

The Chairman of the Judicial Council also followed a briefing on digital services at the Public Prosecution, where teams outlined the electronic customer journey from filing reports and submitting applications, through investigation phases and attendance at hearings, to the issuance and implementation of judgments, showing how integrated systems support transparency, reduce administrative complexity, and help finalise transactions quickly while maintaining accurate judicial outcomes.

Artificial intelligence technologies feature strongly in several projects, including the "Preventive Justice for the Family" initiative, which offers proactive solutions for family disputes by encouraging amicable settlements, providing legal and social guidance, protecting children from negative conflict effects, and monitoring cases after disputes end, with the wider aim of supporting family stability and reinforcing social cohesion within the community.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed reviewed the "Virtual Legal Translator" system, which provides instant and accurate translation of judicial and legal documents for the public and licensed legal translation offices, using artificial intelligence tools to reduce linguistic and legal errors, accelerate document processing, improve the efficiency of judicial procedures, and maintain strict standards for privacy and protection of sensitive data during every translation step.

Digital judicial systems and initiatives for legal awareness

The "Tibyan" initiative was also presented as a virtual assistant for judicial services that explains procedures in clear, accessible language, guides users step by step through service requests, reduces the need for direct staff interaction, saves time and effort for customers, and strengthens a culture of self-service within the digital environment of the Sharjah judicial ecosystem.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed examined wider development initiatives under the Judicial Council, including the "Athar" initiative, which is based on the Public Prosecution’s belief that its role extends beyond enforcement to building legal awareness and preventive justice, by delivering simple legal messages that support trust in institutions, encourage compliance with laws, and shape sustained positive social behaviour linked to legal responsibility.

The Chairman of the Judicial Council praised the Judicial Council team and all associated institutions for completing the new systems in a short time, highlighting the level of institutional integration and technological progress achieved, and noting that this reflects a strategic commitment to improve judicial services, embed principles of excellence and sustainability, and align operations with Sharjah’s wider vision for future development across government sectors.

Several partnership agreements were signed between the Judicial Council and strategic entities that support the judicial ecosystem, with the agreements structured to promote continuous development of the judicial sector, enhance institutional integration, encourage exchange of expertise and knowledge, back innovation and digital transformation efforts, and raise the quality of judicial services while improving satisfaction among individuals and institutions using these services.

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed watched a visual presentation showing statistics on human resources, Emiratisation by job category, financial resources, and technology indicators linked to website upgrades, followed by a review of future plans for Judicial Council entities focusing on institutional performance, workforce development, and the readiness of financial and technological infrastructure, to support the long-term sustainability of the judicial system and match expected future needs in the Emirate.
