Digital Dubai Launches Youth Council To Drive Innovation At GITEX Global 2024
Digital Dubai has announced the creation of a youth council to boost young people's involvement in innovation and future-building. This initiative was revealed at the Dubai Government Pavilion during GITEX Global 2024. The council, named "Digital Dubai Youth Council," is led by Reem Al Falasi, with Khalifa Juma Bin Thaleth as Vice President. It includes members from various departments within the Authority.
Tariq Yousef Al Janahi, CEO of the Corporate Enablement Sector at Digital Dubai, highlighted that this initiative underscores Digital Dubai's dedication to empowering youth. He stated, "At Digital Dubai, we believe in our exceptional and dedicated young talents, and in their important role in making our future promising." The council aims to prepare leaders for the future and empower them to take on responsibilities in an era marked by rapid change.

The council's objectives include promoting youth involvement in innovative projects and preparing them for leadership roles. It will focus on enhancing youth contributions to digital transformation initiatives. The council will also encourage young people to suggest improvements to services provided by Digital Dubai, fostering a creative work environment.
Hassan Sabt, President of the Dubai Youth Council, expressed pride in the formation of the Digital Dubai Youth Council. He emphasised the importance of youth in achieving Dubai’s vision for the future. Sabt stated that collaboration with other youth councils will be crucial for exchanging knowledge and experiences to drive digital development aligned with Dubai's ambitions.
Reem Al Falasi shared her thoughts on leading the council: "It is a great honour for me and my colleagues in the Council to bear the responsibility of contributing to shaping the future of Dubai through the Digital Dubai Youth Council."
