Digital Dubai Unveils First Emirati Virtual Family Members To Enhance Community Engagement

Digital Dubai recently expressed gratitude to the community for their active involvement in naming the first Emirati virtual character. Approximately 14,000 individuals participated in the voting process. "Latifa" emerged as the favourite, securing 43% of the votes, while "Mira" and "Dubai" received 37% and 20%, respectively.

Following this successful engagement, Digital Dubai introduced an AI-generated Emirati virtual family. In a social media video, Latifa introduced her family: father Mohammed, mother Salama, and brother Rashid. This digital family embodies Emirati values and aims to connect with various community segments and languages.

Digital Dubai Introduces Emirati Virtual Family

The virtual family serves as "digital ambassadors," sharing stories that mirror digital life in Dubai. Their content promotes technology culture in relatable ways and supports digital transformation concepts. This initiative aligns with Digital Dubai's goal to create innovative media tools for smart communication.

This initiative is part of a broader series launched by Digital Dubai under the "Year of Community," announced by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The aim is to enhance participation and constructive engagement with community members through these initiatives.

In upcoming phases, Digital Dubai plans to develop integrated communication identities for each virtual family member. They will produce storytelling and awareness content tailored for different age groups and community segments to make digital services more accessible through engaging formats.

Latifa and her family will soon feature on social media platforms to spotlight Digital Dubai's initiatives. They will also promote safe and responsible behaviour in the digital space, reinforcing the importance of digital literacy among users.

This step reflects Digital Dubai's commitment to fostering smart communication and raising awareness about digital government services in an engaging manner. The virtual family's presence aims to resonate with everyday life while promoting a culture of technology across diverse audiences.
