Digital Dubai Showcases AI Innovations And Collaborations At GITEX EUROPE 2025 In Berlin
Digital Dubai recently wrapped up its participation in GITEX EUROPE x Ai EVERYTHING 2025, held from May 21 to 23 in Berlin. The Dubai Pavilion drew significant international interest by showcasing advancements in AI-driven digital transformation. Twelve government and private entities from Dubai participated, highlighting the emirate's progress in this field.
The first day featured a panel discussion titled "Building AI-First Nations: Shaping Policy, Investments, and Ecosystems for the Intelligence Age." Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, was among the participants. Younus Al Nasser, Chief Executive of Dubai Data & Statistics Establishment, also met with Jens-Peter Feidner of Equinix to discuss strategic collaborations.

On the second day, Digital Dubai engaged in several high-level meetings to bolster international partnerships in digital transformation. These included discussions between Al Mansoori and Jager McConnell, CEO of Crunchbase, as well as Martin Kon from Cohere. Strategic talks were also held with Dr. Severin Fischer from Berlin and Ioannis Alexakis from Greece's National Cybersecurity Authority.
A key event on Day 2 was a panel titled "AI’s Hidden Costs: What the Numbers Don’t Show." This session delved into the complexities of AI integration, such as infrastructure demands and ethical issues. Experts like Younus Al Nasser and Daniel Abbou shared insights alongside other distinguished professionals.
Throughout the exhibition, Digital Dubai presented its cutting-edge digital initiatives aimed at creating a smart government. The Dubai Dashboard was highlighted for providing decision-makers with real-time data insights. The Dubai Monitor showcased its AI-powered analytics capabilities for anomaly detection and predictive analysis.
The Smart Employee application was another focus, offering an AI-driven tool for financial and HR services integration. Additionally, Dubai Now was featured as a unified platform for accessing various government services. UAE PASS was also introduced as a secure national digital identity solution using facial recognition technology.
Engaging with Global Institutions
On the final day, Digital Dubai visited Merantix AI Venture Studio in Berlin. Known for transforming AI research into impactful ventures, Merantix is one of Europe's leading startup incubators focused on AI innovation.

The Dubai Pavilion successfully showcased our progress in AI-driven government transformation and offered us valuable insights from international experiences.
