Digital Dubai Showcases Urban Innovation At Asia Pacific Cities Summit & Mayors’ Forum 2025
Digital Dubai is set to participate in the Asia Pacific Cities Summit & Mayors’ Forum 2025. This event will take place from 27th to 29th October at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai. Digital Dubai plans to highlight its digital transformation journey and showcase urban technologies, especially the "City as a Service" concept, which integrates technology into daily life.
The summit serves as a prominent biennial platform, gathering mayors, city leaders, policymakers, and business executives from the Asia-Pacific region. The event aims to facilitate discussions on urban innovation, sustainability, and economic development. It also promotes international collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants.

Discussions at the summit will revolve around three main themes: Centres of Connection, Centres of Solution, and Centres of Resilience. These themes address digital transformation, urban intelligence, clean energy, mobility, education, skills development, economic growth, quality of life, environmental solutions, and sustainable resource management.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the summit in Dubai. He stated that it reaffirms Dubai's status as an open laboratory for future urban living. He said, "Hosting the Asia Pacific Cities Summit & Mayors’ Forum in Dubai reaffirms the city’s status as an open laboratory for the future of urban living; a global platform where innovative ideas converge to shape new models of smart and sustainable city life."
Al Mansoori emphasised that digital transformation is primarily a human journey rather than just technological advancement. He noted that with over 200 nationalities in Dubai, human interaction remains crucial for success. This diversity positions Dubai as a leading example of using advanced technology to evolve urban life.
He further added that Digital Dubai is proud to share its experience at this significant event. The focus is on transitioning towards a 'City as a Service' model where systems are integrated and efforts unified with human satisfaction and happiness as the ultimate goals.
Showcasing Innovative Projects
Digital Dubai's participation includes activities highlighting its vision to digitalise life using Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies like artificial intelligence and data. They will present innovative digital projects and services that support Dubai's position as a City of the Future.
This aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and aims to make Dubai a global model for smart living under its wise leadership's vision.
The summit will explore various aspects such as climate adaptation and sustainable resource management under Centres of Resilience. It will also discuss city financing and social infrastructure under Centres of Solution.
The event underscores how technology can enhance quality of life by translating human aspirations into reality through smart city models.
