DHA Highlights Health Sector Investment Opportunities At Dubai Derma 2024

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is actively participating in the 23rd edition of the Dubai International Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition (Dubai Derma) 2024, showcasing its distinguished services and projects. This participation highlights the Authority's commitment to introducing innovative services, investment opportunities in the health sector, and reinforcing Dubai's status as a leading destination for medical tourism. The event serves as a platform to attract medical tourists for treatments in various specialties, including dermatology.

One of the key features presented by the DHA at the exhibition is the "Dubai Medical Register". This tool allows customers and the public to instantly access a database of health professionals in Dubai, covering various categories such as doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives, health profession practitioners, and alternative medicine practitioners. The register provides detailed information on each professional's specialisation, academic qualifications, practical experience, and associated health facilities within the emirate. Additionally, it offers comprehensive details about all licensed health facilities in Dubai, including their addresses, specialties, and contact information. This register adheres to the highest international standards, ensuring a reliable source of information for healthcare seekers.

DHA at Dubai Derma: Investment Opportunities

During the conference, the DHA is also spotlighting the promising investment opportunities within Dubai's health sector. These opportunities are available in key specialized fields, aiming to further develop the emirate's healthcare landscape and attract more investors to this burgeoning sector.

Sheryan System

The DHA is introducing participants and visitors to its intelligent services and systems for licensing professionals and health facilities through the "Sheryan" system. This system leverages modern technologies supported by artificial intelligence to streamline procedures and automate regulatory processes. The aim is to ensure patient safety and deliver superior quality services across the emirate. The "Sheryan" system is crucial for professionals and health facilities in Dubai, especially considering the significant growth of the health sector in recent years.

In 2023 alone, there was a notable increase in demand for health professionals wishing to work in Dubai's health sector. The DHA recorded 904,646 new professional registrations, along with 26,279 new facility registrations and 952 requests for facility activation. Furthermore, licensed health facilities in Dubai have seen considerable growth over the past five years, from 3,431 in 2019 to 4,922 in 2023. Similarly, the number of health professionals rose from 39,548 to 58,788 during this period.

The DHA's participation in Dubai Derma 2024 underscores its dedication to enhancing Dubai's healthcare offerings and investment landscape. Through initiatives like the Dubai Medical Register and Sheryan system, the Authority aims to facilitate access to quality healthcare services and foster a supportive environment for health investments in the emirate.
