DFF And Hamburg Chamber Of Commerce Forge Partnership To Enhance Future-Facing Innovation
The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce (HCC) have entered into a partnership to enhance collaboration in future-oriented sectors. This agreement aims to create an innovation corridor linking Dubai and Hamburg. It was formalised during the Dubai Business Forum Germany in Hamburg, facilitated by Dubai Chambers, with key figures like Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori and Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah present.
Under this new partnership, both organisations will focus on joint initiatives in areas such as future research, smart cities, sustainability, and emerging technologies like AI and mobility. The agreement also establishes a framework for knowledge exchange between significant R&D institutions, structured startup pathways, joint foresight efforts, and participation in major events like the Dubai Future Forum and Hamburg’s Future Economy Day.

Alia Al Mur from DFF highlighted the importance of this partnership in connecting Dubai’s innovation ecosystem with global counterparts. She stated that Hamburg's research capabilities make it a suitable partner for shared growth in future sectors. The agreement is expected to foster international scale-up collaboration, knowledge exchange, and new public-private foresight models.
Dr. Malte Heyne of HCC emphasised that Dubai is more than just a trading partner for Hamburg; it serves as a gateway to dynamic growth regions. By signing this cooperation agreement with DFF, they aim to deepen their innovation partnership to fully utilise their complementary ecosystem strengths for mutual benefit.
This partnership signifies progress towards a globally connected future characterised by open exchange and shared opportunities. It builds on existing cooperation with Dubai Chambers for more intensive exchanges, joint innovation projects, and sustainable economic collaboration.
DFF's involvement at the Dubai Business Forum Germany included meetings with German innovation stakeholders. They engaged in discussions with the Hamburg AI Centre (ARIC) and the Hamburg AI Fund. Additionally, there was a presentation on Sandbox Dubai and a roundtable discussion on the technology landscapes of both cities.
The agreement marks an important step forward in realising a vision of global connectivity through collaboration. It underscores a mutual commitment to long-term impact by fostering open exchanges and shared opportunities between these two vibrant cities.
