DEWA Donates AED 20 Million To Support Fathers' Endowment Campaign In UAE

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has pledged AED20 million to the Fathers' Endowment campaign. This initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to honour fathers in the UAE. The campaign seeks to establish a sustainable fund for healthcare and treatment for those in need, reinforcing the UAE's leadership in charitable work.

The campaign is part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). It encourages individuals to donate in their fathers' names, promoting values of compassion and solidarity. This effort not only honours parents but also strengthens the concept of charitable endowments within the community.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, highlighted DEWA's commitment to supporting annual Ramadan humanitarian initiatives led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He emphasised that these initiatives provide crucial aid to underserved communities worldwide.

Al Tayer stated, "DEWA's participation in the campaign reflects our deep commitment to social responsibility and our dedication to supporting those less fortunate, in accordance with our Islamic values. We are proud to contribute to the UAE's enduring culture of generosity."

The campaign welcomes donations from both institutions and individuals through six main channels. Contributions can be made via the campaign's website (Fathersfund.ae) or by calling a dedicated toll-free number (800 4999). These options make it easy for people to participate in this noble cause.

Additionally, donations can be made through bank transfers in UAE dirham to Emirates Islamic Bank (IBAN: AE020340003518492868201). SMS donations are also available by sending "Father" to specific numbers for different amounts: 1034 for AED10, 1035 for AED50, 1036 for AED100, and 1038 for AED500.

Other platforms include the DubaiNow app under the "Donations" tab and Dubai's community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae). These various channels ensure that everyone can easily contribute to this meaningful initiative.

This campaign not only honours fathers but also fosters a sense of community involvement. By promoting charitable endowments, it helps build a movement that supports its noble goals across society. The initiative continues to welcome contributions from all willing participants.
