DEWA Showcases Significant AI Advancements In Energy And Water Services At Dubai AI Week 2025

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is taking part as a Strategic Partner in 'Dubai AI Week'. This event is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. Organised by the Dubai Future Foundation and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, it will run from 21st to 25th April 2025.

DEWA is presenting its significant AI initiatives and projects during the event. These efforts focus on integrating AI technologies into energy and water networks to boost efficiency and productivity. The organisation aims to demonstrate how these advancements are transforming their operations.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, stated, "Guided by the proactive vision of the wise leadership, we employ the latest disruptive technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to consolidate the leading global position of the UAE and Dubai in the investment of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This supports the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to transform the UAE into a global leader in this field by investing in human competencies and vital sectors."

DEWA's strategic road map, introduced earlier this year, outlines its ambition to become the first AI-native utility globally. By incorporating AI into their services, they aim to ensure sustainable growth while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.

During Dubai AI Week, DEWA is highlighting several key AI projects. These include AI applications in distribution power, a Material Insights Agent, and an AI Specialist for billing services. Other projects involve a BRD Generator and Customer Happiness AI initiatives.

The organisation also focuses on enhancing digital service readiness using emerging technologies like computer-using agents. This includes projects such as Khadamatech Portal for Staff, an AI-powered HR Agent, a Legislation Agent, and a LinkedIn Learning AI Agent for employee development.

By integrating these advanced technologies into its operations, DEWA seeks to support sustainable growth in energy and water sectors. They aim to deliver services with high standards of efficiency and sustainability.
