Makkah Region's Deputy Governor Chairs Central Hajj Committee To Boost Pilgrim Experience

Under the guidance of Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah region, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, the Central Hajj Committee convened to deliberate on matters concerning Umrah and Hajj. The meeting, chaired by Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, was pivotal in reviewing the operational successes and challenges of the recent Ramadan Umrah season and planning for the upcoming Hajj season 1445 AH.

Prince Saud bin Mishaal extended Prince Khaled Al-Faisal's greetings to all individuals who contributed to the Ramadan Umrah season. Their efforts were crucial in facilitating a smooth and secure experience for visitors and Umrah performers at the Grand Mosque. The successful coordination among various authorities was underscored as a key factor in managing the safety and comfort of an unprecedented number of visitors this year.

Boosting Hajj & Umrah Experience

The committee meticulously reviewed the performance of involved agencies during Ramadan. A significant achievement noted was in transportation, where 2,260 buses were deployed to transport 61 million passengers to and from the Grand Mosque. The health sector's success in preventing epidemics was also highlighted, alongside the distribution of over 20 million meals across various locations in Makkah.

Looking forward, discussions focused on enhancing the achievements of the current Umrah season and addressing any observed issues. The committee also laid out plans and preparations for the forthcoming Hajj season 1445 AH, ensuring that strategies are in place to maintain and improve upon the successes of the Ramadan Umrah season.

This meeting underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to ensuring a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling experience for pilgrims visiting the holy cities.
