Department Of Health Abu Dhabi And Boehringer Ingelheim Establish Strategic Partnership For Healthcare Innovation

The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH) has formed a strategic alliance with Boehringer Ingelheim, a global leader in pharmaceutical research. This collaboration is designed to enhance scientific research and innovation, positioning Abu Dhabi as the leading hub for healthcare, life sciences, and innovation in the MENA region. The agreement was signed at the BIO International Convention in Boston by Dr. Asma Al Mannaei from DoH and Ghaleb Al Ahdab from Boehringer Ingelheim.

This partnership aims to bolster Abu Dhabi's research landscape by leveraging Boehringer Ingelheim’s OpnME platform. Researchers in Abu Dhabi will gain access to advanced data and resources, enabling them to tackle significant biological challenges and expedite scientific breakthroughs. The platform offers four key programmes: Molecule to Order (M2O), Molecule for Collaboration (M4C), opn2EXPERTS (o2e), and opnTALENTS (o25).

These programmes provide researchers with access to sophisticated compounds, collaborative opportunities, expert networks, and support for emerging talent. OpnME serves as a bridge connecting visionary researchers with resources that drive medical innovation forward.
