Department Of Community Development Raises Awareness On Medeem Initiative And Numou Program For Emirati Families

The Department of Community Development (DCD), in partnership with the Presidential Court Majalis Abu Dhabi, organised sessions to inform the public about the Medeem initiative and the Emirati Family Growth Program, Numou. These gatherings aimed to promote an approach rooted in Emirati traditions, focusing on simplicity and shared responsibility for stable households.

Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili, Chairman of DCD, and Engineer Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of DCD, participated in these sessions. They featured interactive discussions across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. The events encouraged direct engagement with community members, addressing their questions and gathering feedback.

Awareness Sessions on Medeem and Numou Initiatives

The sessions served as open forums for meaningful dialogue. Youth and families were able to share experiences and success stories from Medeem. This initiative has helped couples build stable marriages while reducing financial burdens. The department emphasised its commitment to working with partners like Majalis Abu Dhabi to deliver tailored community programmes.

The sessions took place at various community majalis in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. Locations included Baniyas Majlis, Al Aliah Majlis, Mazid Majlis, Al Masoudi Majlis, Mohammed Al Mahmoud Majlis, and Madinat Zayed Majlis in Al Dhafra.

The gatherings highlighted the objectives and successes of both initiatives. They encouraged youth and soon-to-be-married couples to embrace values rooted in Emirati heritage. This approach promotes mutual understanding as a foundation for happy households.
