DCT Abu Dhabi Successfully Concludes Awareness Forum On Al Ain's UNESCO World Heritage Sites
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) recently wrapped up its 'Awareness Forum on Al Ain Cultural Sites.' This event took place at the Al Ain City Municipality Theatre. It focused on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Al Ain, including Hafit, Hili, Bidaa Bint Saud, and the Al Ain Oases. The forum is part of DCT Abu Dhabi's plan to raise awareness about these significant cultural locations.
DCT Abu Dhabi aims to protect and develop Al Ain's rich heritage responsibly. The forum highlighted the importance of these sites and clarified the legal frameworks governing them. It targeted architectural consultancy offices and contractors, emphasising the need for awareness about these unique sites. Al Ain’s cultural sites are currently the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in the UAE.
