DCD Abu Dhabi Unveils Innovative AI Solutions For Community Well-Being At GITEX Global 2025

The Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development (DCD) is set to participate in GITEX Global 2025 from 13-17 October. During this event, the DCD will introduce three innovative social solutions aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens and residents. These initiatives align with the Department's strategy to build a cohesive society through partnerships and empowerment.

At the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion in Sheikh Saeed Hall, the DCD will demonstrate how new platforms can transform data collection into practical tools. These tools are designed to create accurate social policies that anticipate challenges and provide quick responses. The focus is on using technology to enhance community well-being and address social issues effectively.

The DCD will unveil its Community Well-Being Dashboard project, an advanced AI-powered system. This platform combines quality of life indicators with district-level data to identify risks and challenges within communities earlier than current systems allow. This initiative aims to position Abu Dhabi as a leader in integrating modern, human-centric technologies.

Another highlight is the 'Family Support Insights' platform, also powered by AI. This tool helps identify families most in need of government assistance by integrating government data. It addresses root causes of various social challenges, ensuring targeted support for those who need it most.

The DCD plans to organise an interactive workshop during GITEX to explain how data and artificial intelligence integrate into the social sector. Additionally, presentations will feature projects developed by university students under the "UNIVATE" initiative. This initiative encourages young adults to innovate digital solutions that support social development and improve quality of life.

DCD representatives highlighted that participating in GITEX offers a chance to enhance cooperation with other government entities, private sectors, academic institutions, and technical organisations. These discussions aim to foster innovation that aligns with UAE leadership's vision of making artificial intelligence a key tool for sustainable social development.
