Darah Releases Book Documenting The Evolution Of Saudi Arabia's National Day Celebrations
The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) has released a book chronicling the history of Saudi Arabia's National Day celebrations. This initiative, marking the Kingdom's 95th National Day, spans from the era of founding King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud to the reign of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The publication delves into the origins and evolution of National Day celebrations, drawing on official documents, sources, and national archives. It includes photographs, films, and clips that capture both popular and official festivities across different royal eras. The book traces the celebrations from their inception during King Abdulaziz's reign through subsequent developments under Kings Saud, Faisal, Khalid, Fahd, and Abdullah.

National Day celebrations have evolved significantly in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives. The book highlights how these events have grown to include both official and popular participation within the country. It also details the involvement of government and private entities, as well as Saudi diplomatic missions abroad.
Darah emphasized that this publication aligns with its mission to preserve and document Saudi Arabia's history. It aims to showcase national achievements by King Abdulaziz and his successors. The book serves as a comprehensive scientific resource for researchers and those interested in Saudi history.
This work enriches historical studies by providing an in-depth look at Saudi Arabia's national experience. It is a valuable addition to Darah's extensive collection focusing on history and heritage. The foundation is committed to documenting the journey of the Saudi state and sharing historical knowledge with future generations.
The book is available at Darah’s pavilion at the Riyadh International Book Fair. It can also be purchased directly from Darah’s sales centers or through its digital store on its online platform. Authorized distributors also offer access to this publication.
