Dammam Corniche Redevelopment Project Aims To Create A Premier Coastal Destination

The Eastern Region Municipality has embarked on an extensive redevelopment project for the Dammam Corniche. This initiative aims to transform the area into a leading coastal destination with a unique, modern identity. Spanning 3.6 kilometers along the eastern coastline, from the King Abdullah Cultural Center to Corniche Street in Al-Hamra, it covers over 610,000 square meters.

Modern architectural designs will be a hallmark of the revamped corniche. The area will feature expansive pedestrian walkways and shaded seating areas. Dedicated paths for sports and recreation will also be included. Integrated landscaping and advanced lighting will enhance the environment's appeal.

The project prioritises inclusivity by designing spaces for families and accessible facilities for individuals with disabilities and the elderly. Flexible venues will host public events and cultural activities year-round, ensuring diverse community engagement.

Infrastructure upgrades are a key component of this multi-phase project. Public squares will undergo rehabilitation, and new services and facilities will be introduced to meet the needs of various users. These enhancements aim to improve quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
