Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia 2025: Explore The Thrilling Race Across Diverse Landscapes
The Ministry of Sport has announced the details for the sixth Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia, set for 2025. This eagerly awaited event will again be hosted in the Kingdom, spanning from January 3 to 17, 2025. The race will cover nearly 8,000 kilometres, starting in Bisha Governorate and crossing various terrains before ending in the Empty Quarter desert.
The rally will begin with a prologue on January 3 in Bisha, covering a total of 79 km with a special section of 29 km. The first stage on January 4 will also take place in Bisha, stretching over 500 km with a special segment of 412 km. On January 5 and 6, Stage 2 will see competitors racing through Bisha again, covering a distance of 1,057 km with a special section of 965 km.

Stage 3 on January 7 will lead participants from Bisha to Al Henakiyah over an impressive distance of 845 km, including a special section of 496 km. The following day, Stage 4 will take racers from Al Henakiyah to AlUla, spanning a total of 588 km with a special segment measuring 415 km.
Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah bin Faisal, Chairman of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and the Saudi Motorsport Company, expressed his excitement about hosting this prestigious international event. He highlighted their dedication to delivering an outstanding edition that showcases the Kingdom’s breathtaking landscapes and its rising status in global motorsports.
On January 9, Stage 5 will guide participants from AlUla to Hail over a distance of 491 km with a special section measuring 428 km. A rest day is scheduled for January 10 in Hail before Stage 6 commences on January 11. This stage will take competitors from Hail to Al Duwadimi over an extensive distance of 829 km with a special segment covering 606 km.
Final Stages and Conclusion
The rally continues on January 12 with Stage 7 taking place entirely within Al Duwadimi over a span of 745 km including a special section measuring 481 km. On January 13, Stage 8 leads participants from Al Duwadimi to Riyadh covering a total distance of733kmwithaspecialsegmentof487km.
Stage9onJanuary14 takes racers from Riyadh to Haradh over a distance of589km including a special section measuring357km. The penultimate stage on January15 guides competitors from Haradh to Shubaytah covering an overall distance of638km with only119-km being designated as special.
The final stage on January16 remains within Shubaytah covering an overall distance totaling up at approximately just above half-a-thousand kilometers (506) while having around two-fifths (280) marked as specials; concluding this thrilling event is another loop around Shubaytah scheduled for completion by next day (January17), comprising merely two-hundred-and-five kilometers altogether where one-hundred-and-thirty-four are deemed specials.
