Daifi Program Trains 5,200 Wheelchair Service Providers At The Grand Mosque During Ramadan 1447 AH
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque reports that the first phase of the "Daifi" program has finished, with 5,200 workers trained in wheelchair assistance and evaluation results showing clear gains in performance and satisfaction.
According to the authority, the initiative, known as "Daifi" (or "My Guest" in English), targets staff serving worshippers inside the Grand Mosque during the Ramadan season of 1447 AH, focusing on organised wheelchair support for visitors during the busiest periods.

The Daifi program aims to improve the worshippers’ experience by developing updated operational models, raising safety levels, and cutting potential risks, while also supporting detailed crowd management plans and movement control strategies during peak seasons with consistent and efficient field performance.
The authority explains that the Daifi program is designed to strengthen the quality of services offered to worshippers in the Grand Mosque, by combining practical training with clear theoretical foundations so that staff can respond quickly and safely during periods of heavy attendance.
Training under the Daifi program was delivered through 49 sessions over 12 days, split into 24 morning courses and 25 evening courses, and these sessions targeted wheelchair service providers working inside the Grand Mosque during the forthcoming Ramadan season.
Assessment figures from the Daifi program show a satisfaction rate of 99 percent among participants, with pre-test scores averaging 84.6 percent and post-test scores reaching 95.1 percent; in total, 4,456 trainees passed, which represents 85.7 percent of all participants.
{TABLE_1}The authority notes that the Daifi program concentrated on building communication skills, improving service to worshippers, and reinforcing professionalism and discipline among wheelchair leaders, organisers, and field supervisors, while maintaining a balance between classroom explanations and hands-on training in real operational environments.
The General Authority considers the Daifi program an important step in developing operational services inside the Grand Mosque, reflecting a continuing commitment to the spiritual experience of visitors and to the values of compassion and high service standards, as service is viewed as a mission, an honour, and a responsibility.
