This week’s Cyber Pulse awareness message focuses on the theme "Stream Safe … Download Smart" and highlights safer behaviour while streaming or downloading. The Council says that reputable internet platforms help protect devices and personal information. It stresses that users should combine technical protection with careful habits when accessing digital content of any kind.

The Cyber Pulse awareness campaign outlines several steps to cut cyber risks when using free or paid services. Users are advised to avoid clicking unverified links, check details in messages and sponsored adverts, use official streaming or download services, and keep security software active. Such tools help detect threats, remove malicious files, and create an extra layer of defence.

The Council notes that online fraud techniques are becoming more advanced and realistic. Cybercriminals now send messages and design websites that appear legitimate, which can mislead even experienced users. People are urged to think carefully before opening any site or app used to watch films or listen to music, especially when content is free or heavily discounted.

CSC also calls on users to verify website addresses, confirm the authenticity of links, and rely on up‑to‑date protective software.
