Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques Ramadan Program Delivers Dates And Iftar Across Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has carried out the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gift program in Kazakhstan, distributing dates and offering iftar meals. This year, 15 tons of dates and iftar in Almaty and Astana are expected to reach about 63,000 fasting individuals across the country.

The initiative in the Republic of Kazakhstan aims to support Muslims during Ramadan and strengthen solidarity. It focuses on serving Islam and Muslims, meeting religious needs, and building ties of brotherhood and harmony with communities. The program also reflects Saudi Arabia’s wider humanitarian approach toward Muslim minorities around the world.

Custodian Ramadan Program in Kazakhstan

The main iftar ceremony took place at the Grand Republican Mosque in Astana, inside the central reception hall. Saudi Ambassador to Kazakhstan Faisal Al-Qahtani attended the event. Al-Qahtani underlined the Kingdom’s humanitarian role under King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

During the gathering, Faisal Al-Qahtani stressed that the iftar program reflects the leadership’s attention to Muslims. Al-Qahtani praised the ministry of Islamic affairs' continuous supervision and meticulous follow-up in executing the program year after year. The ministry, through the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Astana, oversees planning and coordination with local partners.

The Religious Attaché launched the dates distribution phase of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ program, allocating 15 tons this year, five tons more than last year. Around 60,000 people across 17 regions and provinces are expected to receive dates, while approximately 3,000 beneficiaries in Almaty and Astana joined the iftar program, highlighting ongoing Saudi support for Muslims in Kazakhstan.
