Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques Programs Deliver Iftar And Dates To Malaysia During Ramadan 1447 AH
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ programs in Malaysia for Ramadan 1447 AH, supplying dates and iftar meals. The initiative covers five tons of dates and aims to support about 5,000 fasting individuals during the holy month.
The date distribution program forms part of a broader global effort this year. According to the ministry, dates are being distributed in 120 countries, while organized iftar for fasting people is implemented in 70 countries, reflecting ongoing attention to Muslim communities worldwide during Ramadan.

In Malaysia, the inauguration ceremony for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ programs took place with official representation from both countries. Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia Osama bin Dakhil Al-Ahmadi attended, alongside Malaysia’s Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Religious Affairs Dr. Zulkifli bin Hasan, underscoring the bilateral aspect of the initiative.
Ambassador Al-Ahmadi stated that the programs show the Kingdom’s concern for Muslims’ needs in Ramadan and help reduce pressures on those facing hardship. Al-Ahmadi also indicated that these efforts continue the Kingdom’s support for Muslim communities and illustrate the strength of relations between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, as well as a humanitarian approach to serving Muslims.
Dr. Zulkifli bin Hasan expressed appreciation to the Government of the Kingdom for launching the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ programs in Malaysia. Dr. Zulkifli said the initiative highlights the Kingdom’s commitment to assisting Muslims and sharing their spiritual and social experience in Ramadan, and Dr. Zulkifli offered prayers for the safety of the Kingdom, its leadership and its people.
The ministry’s Ramadan activities, including the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ programs in Malaysia, align with Saudi leadership directives to care for Muslims. Through date distribution and iftar projects in many countries, the Kingdom continues organised support that combines religious, social and humanitarian dimensions during the holy month.
