Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques Chairs Virtual Cabinet Session

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, chaired a virtual Cabinet session today. The King received updates on the preparations for this year's Hajj season, confirming that all arrangements are complete. Various government agencies have been working to enhance the comfort and well-being of pilgrims. King Salman expressed pride in serving the two holy mosques and their visitors, and prayed for a successful Hajj for all pilgrims.

The Cabinet was briefed on messages received by King Salman from the King of Jordan and the President of Egypt, as well as a message to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister from the President of Somalia. Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary stated that the Cabinet welcomed the outcomes of the second Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council meeting, which highlighted strong ties and a commitment to deepening cooperation across various sectors.

The Cabinet reviewed Saudi Arabia's participation in recent Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Arab League meetings. It expressed optimism for further collaboration within these frameworks. The Cabinet also praised the results of the 37th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting, noting that Saudi Arabia and seven other members' decision to extend voluntary production cuts aligns with efforts to maintain global oil market stability.

Marking World Environment Day on June 5, the Cabinet highlighted Saudi Arabia's leading role in environmental efforts and sustainable development. The Cabinet reviewed regional and international developments, reaffirming Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting international efforts for regional security and stability.

Domestically, the Cabinet noted continued growth in non-oil activities and a stable annual inflation rate at 1.6%, below the global target. Positive credit rating estimates were also acknowledged. Several decisions were made during the session:
