Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques Names Madinah Airport Road After Prince Mohammed Bin Salman
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has directed that the airport road in Madinah be named after His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This newly designated road links the Prophet’s Mosque to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, leading to Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport and the Royal Terminal.
Governor of Madinah Region and Chairman of the Al Madinah Region Development Authority Board, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, expressed his gratitude to King Salman and HRH the Crown Prince. He commended the Crown Prince for his leadership in launching national development initiatives that have positively impacted all regions of Saudi Arabia, including Madinah.

The Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road serves as a vital artery in Madinah. It stretches over 13 kilometers and intersects with major roads such as King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Road (First Ring Road), King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Road (Second Ring Road), and King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Road (Third Ring Road). This strategic route is crucial for connectivity within the city.
Several significant development projects are being executed along this newly named road by the Madinah Municipality and Al Madinah Region Development Authority. One prominent project is the "Madinah Humanization Program," which aims to enhance vehicle and pedestrian pathways, improve building facades, and adhere to Saudi architectural design guidelines to boost quality of life and urban landscape.
The road also features an environmental rehabilitation project for Wadi Qanat, a historically important valley in the region. This initiative is part of broader efforts to preserve natural heritage while supporting urban development. The project aligns with ongoing strategies to enhance both environmental sustainability and urban aesthetics in Madinah.
Prince Salman highlighted HRH the Crown Prince's pioneering role in spearheading strategic projects across Saudi Arabia. These initiatives have had a tangible impact on various regions, including Madinah, contributing significantly to national development goals.
This renaming reflects not only a tribute but also an acknowledgment of HRH the Crown Prince's contributions to national progress. The new road name symbolises a commitment to continued growth and development within the Kingdom.
