Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques Ramadan Aid Program Reaches The Gambia With Dates And Iftar Support

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is delivering major Ramadan aid in The Gambia, with new Saudi Ramadan programs supplying dates and Iftar meals to thousands of people. These efforts target fasting individuals during the holy month and also highlight Saudi support for Muslim communities abroad.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, acting through the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Senegal, oversees these Saudi Ramadan programs in The Gambia. The launch ceremony took place in the presence of non-resident Saudi Ambassador to Senegal Saad Al-Nofaia.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Ramadan Aid in Gambia

Under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Saudi Ramadan programs, the Kingdom allocates 5 tons of high-quality dates to the Republic of The Gambia. Officials expect about 20,000 people to benefit from the date distribution, while around 3,000 fasting individuals will receive daily Iftar meals.

Ambassador Al-Nofaia stated that these Saudi Ramadan programs are sponsored and supported by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The ambassador linked the initiatives to wider support for Muslims worldwide during Ramadan.

Saudi Ramadan programs strengthen Islamic ties and bilateral relations

According to Ambassador Al-Nofaia, the Saudi Ramadan programs aim to enhance cooperation, reflect Islamic brotherhood, and assist friendly nations while sharing religious occasions. The ambassador also noted that relations between Saudi Arabia and the Republic of The Gambia continue to progress, with both sides seeking greater development and shared prosperity.

The ambassador explained that implementation of the Saudi Ramadan programs takes place under the direct supervision and follow-up of the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh. These ongoing efforts form part of the Kingdom’s wider role in serving Islam and Muslims across different regions.
