Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques Approves Distribution Of 1.2 Million Holy Quran Copies During Ramadan

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sanctioned the distribution of 1.2 million copies of the Holy Quran. These copies, translated into 79 languages, will be sent to Islamic and cultural centres and religious attaché offices at Saudi embassies worldwide. This initiative is part of a larger program aimed at gifting copies of the Quran during Ramadan.

Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, expressed gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unwavering support for Muslims globally. He emphasised that these Quran copies are among the finest editions available, reflecting the leadership's commitment to spreading the Quran's teachings.

Distribution of 1.2 Million Holy Quran Copies

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs is responsible for implementing this distribution program across 45 countries during Ramadan. The ministry has completed all necessary preparations to ensure timely shipping of the Quran copies to beneficiary nations. This effort is coordinated with religious attaché offices and various Islamic councils and organisations.

Dr. Al Alsheikh highlighted the significant support from Saudi leadership in helping the ministry achieve its mission. This mission includes serving Islam and Muslims while promoting values such as tolerance and coexistence, which are central to Islam's true essence.

The minister noted that this program underscores the wise leadership's dedication to disseminating the Quran worldwide. By making these meticulously produced editions available, Muslims everywhere can benefit from them, especially during Ramadan when spiritual reflection is heightened.
