Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques Launches Date Distribution And Iftar Programs In The Maldives

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, through the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in India, organised a ceremony on Ramadan 2, 1446 AH. This event took place at the Ministry's headquarters in the Maldives to mark the start of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Date Distribution Program. The initiative aims to distribute 10 tons of dates to benefit 40,000 people.

In addition to this, a separate ceremony was held at the Islamic Center of the Maldives. This event launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Iftar Program in the country. The Iftar Program is set to support 4,500 individuals throughout Ramadan. Both events were attended by Deputy Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives Fahad Al-Dosari.

Date Distribution and Iftar Programs in Maldives

The Maldivian Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, expressed his gratitude towards Saudi Arabia's leadership for their dedication to Muslim affairs and services to the Two Holy Mosques. He also thanked the Ministry for implementing these beneficial programs. These initiatives reflect Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting Islam and Muslims worldwide.

This year, during Ramadan, the Ministry plans to implement these programs on a larger scale. The Date Distribution Program will be carried out in 102 countries, while the Iftar Program will reach 61 countries globally. These efforts are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader mission to serve Islam and Muslims around the world.
