Culture Ministry And Riyadh Air Forge Partnership To Enhance Travel With Saudi Cultural Experiences
The Ministry of Culture has entered into a strategic partnership with Riyadh Air, the new national airline, to enhance cultural experiences for travellers. This collaboration aims to promote Saudi Arabia's national identity and heritage. The agreement was formalised at a ceremony in Riyadh, attended by Vice Minister of Culture Hamed Fayez and Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas.
Under this agreement, Riyadh Air lounges will be transformed into vibrant spaces that showcase local heritage and facilitate cultural exchange with international visitors. Seasonal cultural campaigns will introduce guests to Saudi heritage sites and national events through booking platforms, in-flight screens, and curated multimedia content.

The campaigns will also feature cultural shows and organise special trips aligned with major cultural events. This initiative aims to enrich the travel experience by integrating visual and auditory storytelling that highlights the Kingdom's rich cultural heritage. The Ministry of Culture is actively working on strategic projects with Riyadh Air to incorporate Saudi culture into the travel journey.
To ensure the effectiveness of these initiatives, coordination mechanisms have been established. These include developing cultural content, hosting regular workshops, analysing traveller feedback and preferences, and evaluating engagement levels with in-flight and lounge offerings. These efforts are designed to tailor experiences to meet travellers' expectations.
The partnership aligns with the National Strategy for Culture and Riyadh Air’s vision of offering inspiring and personalised hospitality. By focusing on travellers' preferences, the collaboration seeks to provide an enriching experience that reflects Saudi Arabia's authentic heritage.
This agreement represents a significant step towards enhancing the travel experience through storytelling that captures the essence of Saudi culture. It underscores a commitment to providing travellers with a unique glimpse into the Kingdom's rich traditions and history.
