Cultural Development Fund Supports Red Sea Souk At Fifth International Film Festival In Jeddah

The Cultural Development Fund is sponsoring the Red Sea Souk at the fifth Red Sea International Film Festival. This event takes place from December 4 to 13 in Historic Jeddah's Culture Square. The fund's involvement aims to draw both local and international investments into Saudi Arabia’s film industry, encouraging growth across the entire value chain of cinematic projects.

From December 6 to 10, the fund will have a main pavilion in the Red Sea Souk area. This souk acts as the festival's core hub, connecting local and global film industry companies. It provides a platform for promoting commercial opportunities and showcasing cinematic projects. Through its pavilion, the fund aims to engage stakeholders and highlight its financing solutions under the "Cultural Financing" umbrella.

The Riviera Content Fund, featured at the pavilion, is the first investment fund of its kind in Saudi Arabia. The Cultural Fund is a primary investor in this initiative. This participation underscores a four-year strategic partnership with the Red Sea International Film Festival, emphasizing the fund's role as a center of excellence and financial empowerment within Saudi Arabia’s cultural sector.

Panel discussions during the festival will see participation from the Cultural Fund. These discussions will focus on the rapid growth of Saudi Arabia’s film sector, its economic potential, and promising investment opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors.
